After a string of successful releases under different pseudonyms, most notably Dansco, Shades Recordings have revealed themselves as the imprint that have secured the services of the talented deep house and techno DJ for his first release under his own name Dan White.

Named Simple Pleasures, the new EP had a lot to live up to following Dan steady stream of popular previous efforts. Billed as being influenced by the lush melodics of early Kompakt releases with a smattering of the playful grooves and all-out pop sensibility of Dusky & Booka Shade’s output, whilst retaining an edge reminiscent of The Hacker the four-track effort is one that is certainly garnering plenty of hype within the scene.  With plenty of support from some of the industry’s biggest names this emotive piece of tech-disco is progressive & modern and we’re sure you’ll be hearing it a lot more as the mercury begins to rise.

So with that in mind check out this expertly mixed set Dan delivered for us here at DT. Enjoy.
