On Thursday 16TH May 2013 MAKE NOISE will be picking up where the tour left off in November – which successfully completed five dates across the UK with Radio 1’s Benji B, and included guest appearances from the likes of DJ Die, Ossie, Greenmoney, Martelo, Kidnap Kid and more – MAKE NOISE will now be visiting LIFE in Brighton with two of America’s most exciting talents in electronic music, as Machinedrum and Jimmy Edgar join forces for a special JETS DJ set. Having both experienced their own solo success and acclaim over the past decade, clocking up releases for labels such as Warp, !K7, Hot Flush, LuckyMe and more, good friends Machinedrum and Jimmy Edgar teamed up to release their first set of co-productions in 2012 with the brilliant ‘Jets EP’ coming out on Leisure System. That was quickly followed by a heavily hyped DJ mix for the FACT magazine website and it’s with a lot of excitement that they’ll be making a rare UK appearance together for MAKE NOISE in Brighton.
As per all the previous MAKE NOISE tour dates, this event is in association with European Recycling Platform and is a FREE initiative to help raise awareness about the importance of recycling electronic goods. To help channel this message, we ask everyone to bring along an old or unwanted handheld electronic item for recycling to gain entry to the event. This could be a broken hairdryer, a drowned phone, busted iPod or even a couple of old batteries – anything that’s electrical – and they will get access to the night! This is certainly a night not to be missed, we all have an old electrical device we wouldn’t mind getting rid of and why not trade for brilliant music and good times.
