Generally you might class the Martinez Brothers as house but that’s what’s exciting about Steve & Christian Martinez, they draw influences arguably from an array of sounds. Having released on an enviable list of labels, with gigs worldwide from Fabric, Sonar, Movement, DC10, Panarama Bar and many more, it’s easy to see the phenomenal impact these two are making. Their sets, as eclectic as their productions, move from influences of soul and disco to house and techno. This is one journey they are definitely excited to be taken on, they cannot wait to welcome the New York pair to The Garden Party. Waze & Odyssey remixes began surfacing in very late 2011 with their first EP dropping in early 2012 on petFood. A pivotal moment for this duo, as from that moment on they have been the name on everyone’s lips. They have attracted tastemakers across the board and a wealth of support from their peers with a wealth of tracks surfacing. With further releases on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records, Wolf Music and their most recent EP on Dirt Crew Recordings there is absolutely no sign of this UK duo letting up. Something they’re very pleased about! Mysterious pair Tiger and Woods will also be joining us in August. Individually it is said the pair have already released renowned productions but as a pair, they are certainly doing so. Having met through a love of disco infused records, quickly they began to produce their own sounds. Heavily influenced by the sounds of groove and funk inspired 80’s cuts, their debut album was exceptionally well received. Their sets are in demand globally but not content with just that, the pair also run label Editainment releasing the likes of Cleo & Patra and Pop & Eye. Detroit Swindle, aka Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets are two men responsible for providing the world with melodical groove ridden, and Detroit inspired, deep house. Something we are very grateful for. With EPs on Saints & Sonnets, Dirt Crew, Murmur and Free Range the pair are quickly solidifying their success and concreting their melodious musical vision. Their set at The Garden Party will be one you won’t want to miss!

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
