Familia: Wally Lopez, Uner, Lee Brinx at Egg London



Familia’s August date (3rd August, 22:00 – 10:00) encapsulates the summer spirit to the tune of some of the biggest DJs on the international scene. Wally Lopez graces the decks of Egg London for the first time, a true pioneer of Spanish House. Wally shot to fame in 2000 when he set up Weekends Records and his productions gained support from the likes of Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo and Steve Lawler, soon after setting up his very successful Factoria label, whilst as a producer releasing on labels such as Tooroom, Cr2, Material and Yoshitoshi. On the radio Wally’s La Factoria show hit the 600,000 live listeners every week, whilst as a DJ he’s played 5 continents, the best clubs in the world, and some of the best festivals including Creamfields, Global Gathering, Exit Festival, Weekend Dance, Montenegro’s Desert Festival and Space Festivals. Wally was the first DJ ever to be invited to perform at a Madonna concert and four consecutive years enjoyed a place on the DJ Magazine Top 100 and the only Spanish DJ to do so. Also on the night Fabio Ferro returns with plays of his productions on Toolroom and 1605 by Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna Fabio’s sure to set the Familia floor alight again, supported by Lee Yeomans, whose monthly podcast has over 400,000 loyal followers, Jack Le Rock, Kyle E and Familia Promoter Nick Tcherniak complete the Ground Floor players. 

Uner heads up the Terrace floor, without doubt one of the most important names of the new generation of Spanish Electronic Producers. Musically trained and equipped to take on the dance music concept from a perceptive angle, it wasn’t long before he released on Diynamic, 2020 Vision, Get Physical, Defected, Cr2 Cadenza and Cocoon gained him the respect of some of the biggest names in the business, his productions regularly getting plays from Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox and Luciano. Regularly playing events such as Watergate in Berlin Pacha Ibiza, Ushuaia Space Ibiza the best events and biggest festivals in the world, using live elements to relay his music during his sets meaning Uner’s fan-base grows every day. Joining him on the Terrace will be Elek-FunAnthony Nidis and Disandat & Almond Lama

The Loft headliner is headed by Lee Brinx. Co owner of own of the most respected labels Lower East, which showcases acts such as Lee Foss, Wildkats, Max Chapman, his unfaltering love for underground electronic music has seen Lee’s own productions gain support from the likes of Sascha, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier, Tim Green, X-Press 2 and many more. A firm fixture in the east London scene and fresh from his appearances alongside Sasha, Just Be (Bushwacka) and Hunter Game they’re thrilled to be welcoming Lee Brinx. Also DysfunctionalVishaal LaurentShane Wykes (live), Deeper PurposeSlavenWill JudgeTommy Mack and Tempo Eterno will join the action.

Fresh from his hit ‘Move On’ on PP Music, which hit the #6 spot on Beatport, Go Deeva A&R Leonardo Glovibes heads up the rest of the family, with releases also on Arva and Great Night and his remixes of Wally Lopez. Leonardo’s making a rare London appearance alongside Samantha Blackburn, Jay Tempest, 7Oel and Varon V. Familia in August opens its door to its stylish international party crowd in the state of the art newly refurbished venue and dares you to join them!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
