Chris.SU – Together In The Night ft. Mira

Chris.SU opens his account as a label owner with two fresh cuts from his new FATE Recordings imprint. Teaming up with New Zealand’s very own State Of Mind, The Burning is  a punchy driving cut of dance floor D&B. Combining both sets of producers penchant for tech influenced beats but with underlying melody, The Burning crunches in all the right places in the mix, filling the space using haunting harmonies and electro chord progression to full effect.  Together In The Night is the smooth to The Burning’s rough, a more liquid edged track but one that still sets its targets right to peak hour club time. Mira’s soaring vocal tones mingle with the warping bass notes and dreamy chords, which just manage to avoid being drawn in to the territory of cheese. 

On the whole a strong start from the Hungarian veteran, a favourite of this reviewer from his days releasing tracks on labels like Commercial Suicide. FATE Recordings could be a label to keep your eyes on in 2014.
