30 years in the game: 10 killer cuts from Laurent Garnier

On October 7th, Egg London party Sabajaq has secured a real coo: an extended set from French techno luminary Laurent Garnier. The F Comms label boss will play for four hours and really dig deep into his long cherished collection, and it will be the last time he does so in the capital this year.

From high octane to weird and wonderful to deep and dreamy, Garnier has done it all over his long and storied career. Hits like ‘Man With The Red Face’ will always be classics, while his unique fusion of Detroit techno and jazz will always stand him apart. Far from being a heritage act, he still enthuses over new music and commands the audience with energy and vibrancy few others can match. He has put out many standout albums, and is always innovating in the DJ booth and live sphere. As in demand today as he ever was, he is a European artist who sits at the very top table of techno.

Without picking the obvious Man With The Red Face, we’ve dug in to the archives and picked 10 killer Laurent Garnier cuts for you to check out and enjoy and you can grab tickets for the event here.

And just because, no Laurent Garnier list would be complete…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
