279 – Lee Brinx


Lee Brinx is a DJ/Producer and label owner hailing from East London. His love of music started at a young age, listening to classic Motown grooves his parents would play and as he grew-up it led to an interest in house-music. As musician he’s an accomplished guitarist, as a producer his material has been supported by the likes of; Jamie Jones, Sasha, Laurent Garnier and Droog. His reputation for eclectic DJ sets is like no-other, holding a residency at London’s Creche and playing alongside the likes of Kerri Chandler, Shonky, Damian Lazarus and Maya Jane Coles.   After our Lower East showcase this summer at East Village we had to get him on the podcast!  We welcome Lee to the Data Transmission podcast, sit back and enjoy..   Sum up this podcast in 10 words… Fresh wholesome, deep-techno-garage music both old and new..   What’s your personal favourite track on it? Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
