263 – Black Asteroid

Originally from Minneapolis, Bryan Black began his career as a sound designer for Prince, where he would learn and expand his production skills at the renowned Paisley Park Studios. In 2001 he moved to London and formed the live electro-techno band, Motor. Creating four albums and sharing the stages of Daft Punk, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. In 2011 Black wanted to return to world of Techno that he felt Motor has strayed from over the years and began working on a project which would eventually become ‘Black Asteroid’.  Black Asteroid’s debut, ‘The Engine EP’ received masses of critical acclaim catching the attention of Chris Liebing who quickly signed the record up. This year he also released the stunning ‘Black Acid EP’ on Electro Deluxe a release that pushed the boundaries of Techno music even further. Black Asteroid will be heading over to ADE as part of Electro Deluxe’s showcase at Melweg on October 19th. Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
