DJ Awards announce 2025 nominees and Brand New Categories

The DJ Awards are back and bigger than ever, announcing their 2025 genre-specific categories and nominees. Voting has kicked off on Thursday, August 21st. It’s time to make some noise!

After a triumphant Ibiza comeback in 2024, the DJ Awards are flexing their muscles with categories to match every underground and mainstage sound. Think Black Coffee’s Afro beats or CamelPhat’s progressive flair.

Now, they’re rolling out the red carpet for Balearic vibes and that Hard Dance/Bounce fire, the latter riding a wave of revival hotter than a warehouse on a summer’s night.

These additions are shaking up the scene with a spotlight on those sun-drenched, free-spirited Balearic beats, and let’s not forget the hard-hitters of the Hard Dance/Bounce category.

This isn’t just another “who’s who” of DJ culture.

The DJ Awards keeps it real, driven by a Grand Jury of industry insiders.

It’s a proper nod to the DJs pushing boundaries and keeping dancefloors throbbing.

Adding more fuel to the fire, the 2025 edition is committed to raising the number of female nominees, ensuring diversity echoes through the decks. With categories spanning from Drum & Bass to Techno and everything in between, the DJ Awards is once again setting the international dance calendar alight.

Last year’s winners read like a lineup of festival headliners: Sam Divine holding it down for House and Armin van Buuren taking Trance to another level. This year’s nominees?
